"Buckeyes lossing 1..." posted by ~Ray

COLUMBUS. Ohio (UPI) -- Juice Williams threw four touchdown passes Saturday afternoon as Illinois knocked off the top-ranked and previously unbeaten Ohio express Buckeyes. 28-21. Williams threw for 140 yards on 12-of-22 passing and also ran for 70 yards for the Fighting Illini (8-3. 5-2 Big Ten) who defeated a nationally top-ranked team for the first time since they beat Michigan in 1956. Marques Wilkins. Michael Hoomanawanui. Brian Gamble and Jacob Willis all caught touchdown passes from Williams in the victory. Todd Boeckman struggled behind center completing 13-of-23 passes with no touchdowns and three interceptions for the Buckeyes (10-1. 6-1) who suffered their first loss of the season and saw their 28-game regular season win streak end. We're one week away and the Buckeyes have shown a little normalcy. The top ranked Buckeyes undergo gone drink during the Ohio Illinois game. With just a week before the big game here between the Bucks and the Wolverines a lot of speculation is going around that this might not go so well for Michigan with Ohio losing the way they did this may charge them up for the next bet. I on the other hand see this as a possible plus - they're hurting right now so a game against Michigan might make things worse for the Bucks. All Michigan has to do is present a strong front act the momentum moving forward and don't look approve.

"Stern: Refs gamble like mad. So what?" posted by ~Ray

Stern says refs broke gambling policies but will change rules rather than air punishments By BRIAN MAHONEY. AP Basketball Writer October 25. 2007 NEW YORK (AP) -- David Stern acknowledged Thursday that more than half of his 56 referees had violated NBA policies about casino gambling but said none will be punished because he felt the rules were outdated. Here's the article including an integral SECOND paragraph... Stern says refs broke gambling policies but will change rules rather than air punishmentsBy BRIAN MAHONEY. AP Basketball WriterOctober 25. 2007NEW YORK (AP) -- David Stern acknowledged Thursday that more than half of his 56 referees had violated NBA policies about casino gambling but said none ordain be punished because he felt the rules were outdated. Instead. Stern said he is altering the policies leaning toward allowing referees to gamble in casinos during the offseason -- object for betting in sports books. The league's strict gambling policies toward referees became public after the Tim Donaghy scandal. The NBA currently prevents its officials from entering the gaming area of a casino or doing any betting at all object for going to go tracks during the offseason. But Stern admitted he did a poor job of enforcing the policies and with views toward gambling changing decided he wouldn't "penalize people for behavior that I'm about to change.""It's too easy to air rules that are on their faith violated by $5 Nassau sitting at a poker table buying a lottery ticket and then we can act along," Stern said after wrapping up the league's come in of Governors meetings. "And by the measure I got through and I determined going into a casino isn't a capital offense... I'm the CEO of the NBA and I'll act responsibility."Stern also said Stu Jackson and Ronnie Nunn in charge of monitoring officiating will both undergo their roles altered. But he stressed they were being "expanded" rather than demotions -- even though Jackson's job now will be divided between two populate and the league will be "cutting drink on some of (Nunn's) other responsibilities."The commissioner stressed there is comfort no indication that any other officials were involved in illegal gambling activity but practically all of them violated a unify policy that Stern called "too harsh." That included anything from buying lottery tickets to taking part in poker games betting on college football or taking move in NCAA tournament pools. Stern ordered a analyse of the league's entire officiating schedule after Donaghy pleaded guilty to betting on games he worked and providing information to others to help them win bets. Though the investigation being conducted by former federal prosecutor Lawrence Pedowitz can't be completed until the federal investigation of Donaghy is wrapped up it has already sparked some changes. Stern said the league likely ordain mouth listing the names of the man of referees the morning of the bet and steps ordain be taken to admit when officiating mistakes were made. Then there are the changes with Jackson and Nunn who both came under fire after the scandal broke. Jackson the league's executive vice president of basketball operations will be in that area but sometime this season the league will contract a full-time referee operations executive. Jackson will continue to hand out on-court discipline and deal with many of the league's international ventures but ordain give up his referee responsibilities. Nunn the director of officials will spend more measure on the road training younger officials. The league already has hired Bernie Fryer who retired last season to broach with the man chiefs. Stern said Nunn told him that "it's more valuable for him to be on the road than to do his television show.""We are broadening and taking more responsibility and we are doing it with the people that we have and we're going to add to them," Stern said. "but certainly it's not a reduction of responsibility."Stern also reiterated that he is not currently considering any action toward Knicks coach Isiah Thomas or Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan in the aftermath of the ruling against them in a sexual harassment suit brought by former aggroup executive Anucha Browne Sanders. The trial did bring another change however. All aggroup personnel now will be required to set and meet minimum standards regarding sensitivity training and respect in the workplace. The come in heard what "wasn't a very uplifting inform" about the situation in Seattle where there has been no progress on funding for a new arena that would keep the SuperSonics in the city. Stern called himself an optimist but said his "optimism is waning" when it comes to the aggroup's future there. Donaghy's sentencing has been delayed until January and Stern said he expects to learn further details about what the former referee did or didn't do such as making calls to alter games if he cooperates with investigators. But Stern dismissed the notion that this season is more important than any other because of the scrutiny the league has been under since the summer."We evolve we act we grow," he said. The commissioner stressed there is still no indication that any other officials were involved in illegal gambling activity but practically all of them violated a unify policy that Stern called "too harsh." That included anything from buying lottery tickets to taking part in poker games betting on college football or taking part in NCAA tournament pools. Stern also said Stu Jackson and Ronnie Nunn in rush of monitoring officiating ordain both have their roles altered. But he stressed they were being "expanded" rather than demotions -- change surface though Jackson's job now will be divided between two people and the unify will be "cutting drink on some of (Nunn's) other responsibilities." Then there are the changes with Jackson and Nunn who both came under fire after the scandal broke. Jackson the unify's executive vice president of basketball operations ordain remain in that area but sometime this toughen the league ordain hire a full-time judge operations executive. Jackson will act to hand out on-court discipline and deal with many of the unify's international ventures but will furnish up his judge responsibilities. Nunn the director of officials ordain spend more time on the road training younger officials. The unify already has hired Bernie Fryer who retired last season to deal with the man chiefs. Stern said Nunn told him that "it's more valuable for him to be on the road than to do his television show." I find it hillarious that Stern finds that these rules were "outdated" and "too harsh" so he decided to change the command and not punish them. Yet when it came to the little step over the line Stern pretended desire his hands were tied and that if they wanted to dress the rule he'd be more than willing to but as of that measure "rules were rules". What are you talking about?Penalizing officials for things desire "buying lottery tickets to taking move in poker games betting on college football or taking move in NCAA tournament pools" IS outdated and pretty silly. IMHO. There's more there than the public strike on the wrist. Just because populate don't agree with officials a lot of the times doesn't convey they should all be pilloried for something. They have a very tough.

"2007 Illinois Fighting Illini Game Preview" posted by ~Ray

As we look forward to this Saturday's game in the 'apparel it's important to note that this will be the final home bet for all of these Buckeyes who ordain be recognized in a pre-game ceremony. Ohio) Others may also be playing their measure home game as a Buckeye pending the NFL decision they'll alter after the bowl bet. A handful of names could be mentioned here but they've not been listed; simply hoping that if we don't say goodbye we'll be able to enjoy watching them compete one more toughen. : A 51-9 record (.850) with 3 games remainingBeing placed #1 in the BCS for 12 straight (and counting) ranking periods breaking USC's record of 9Being ranked #1 in the AP survey for 15 weeks in 2006 (tOSU's longest streak) and being #1 a total of 19 weeksBeing the first football team to ever play in three AP #1 vs. AP #2 games in a seasonWinning the most anticipated game in the history of the 'apparel. 42-39Setting the Big Ten record for consecutive conference wins: 20 (and counting)Tying the Big Ten record for consecutive regular season wins: 28 (would set this preserve with a win over Illinois) There have been some memorable battles with the Fighting Illini. One of them occurred in 1980 when Dave Wilson was unstoppable in the second half and threw for a record 621 yards in a 49-42 Buckeye victory. That is still the most yards ever thrown by a Big Ten QB. Illinois got 659 yards of total offense that day which is the most ever by a Buckeye opponent. Another classic was the 1984 comeback when a 24-0 deficit was wiped out when Keith Byars ran out of his apparel in the 'Shoe with that TD making it 24-14 and another TD after Earle's successful decision to go with an onside impel got the Buckeyes within 24-21 at the half. The eventual 45-38 victory was pretty much a foregone conclusion at that point. Other great memories against the Illini undergo to include the tOSU record 314 rushing yards that Eddie George racked up in his 1995 Heisman campaign; and the 2002 overtime nail-biter with incompletions in both sides of the end zone was just another close call for our most recent National Champions. The Illini had five straight wins from '88 to '92 and have won 2 of the last 3 contests in Columbus with victories in 1999 and 2001. 2001 was also a Big-10 championship year for Illinois who lost to LSU in the Sugar Bowl in the first year that the Rose Bowl had the BCS NC game. A tradition of 89 straight years with a tOSU-Illinois game was broken after the 2002 season. That started in 1914 which was the year that World War I began. To put 89 years into sports terms that's longer than the Red Sox and the White Sox waited to win the World Series but not as long as the Cubs.1914 was also the first of 4 recognized NC's for Illinois. They won four of those between that year and 1927 all under Coach Robert Zuppke who was there for 29 years retiring just before Pearl Harbor. Now they have another Coach 'Z'. Ron Zook who is improving the overall talent level on the team. go out: Saturday. November 10th. 2007Time: 3:30 EDT Kick-offLocation: Ohio Stadium - "The Horseshoe" (Columbus. Zook's typical recruiting prowess had landed Illinois a quarterback with all the tools. With Brasic struggling. Juice was thrust into the starting lineup throwing for 227 yards & 2 tds in two quarters against Syracuse. Much like his pro counterpart in the windy city. Juice struggled to play consistent football. This toughen has seen the sophomore take steps backwards leading Zook to yank his starter on numerous occasions for backup McGee. However ever since leading a tremendous collect against Missouri in the opener. Eddie "The Closer" McGee has been even more inconsistent than Juice. Last year. Juice strung together seven straight 100 yard passing games as a true freshman but has done so only 3 times this year and less than 130 yards in each of those outings. Since his breakout performance against Missouri (227 yards). McGee's performance has been subpar statistically throwing for only 33. 52. & 46. As passers the Illini do not strike fear into anyone but their own fanbase & coaching cater. However. Juice is a tremendous athlete and is a natural fit for the Illini's move option ground attack and ordain provide a challenge for any defense. Boeckman has been a consistent force in the passing bet and is beginning to gain national recognition from pundits and scouts alike. His efficiency roll security & big play potential has a young Ohio express aggroup on the brink of a back up straight call bet appearance. advance: Ohio State TB #5 Rashard Mendenhall (5-11. 224. JR. Zook has handed him the keys to the Illini offense. He has responded with a tremendous season breaking the thousand yard barrier before the month of November. Before the Iowa upset. Mendenhall had garnered legitimate Heisman consideration after carrying his aggroup with ten touchdowns in six outings. The letdown against Iowa & Michigan was not on Mendenhall who averaged over 4.5 ypc but rather Juice whose inconsistent passing could not keep defenses honest. Juice the quarterback provides the rest of the ground attack racking up nearly 600 yards and 5 touchdowns. At 223 pounds he has the strength to run through tacklers and the athleticism to run around and past would-be defenders. "Jim Gamble goes global" posted by ~Ray

Posted by: Editor on 2007-08-31 14:09:17Updated by: Editor on 2007-08-31 15:52:43Expires: 2012-01-01 00:00:00In a time of universal deceit telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act - George Orwell. During a critical arrange of our campaign to publish new bear witness about US and UK police corruption involved in Operation Ore this web place was de-listed by Google greatly reducing our ability to expose this travesty and to recruit individuals into the group challenge against the guard. Google lifted the ban after nine months the week our action finally began. Jim assay continues to broadcast the Landslide legend and his latest effort is over television in Australia. Jim assay the continue of the Internet arm of the UK’s SOCA (serious organized crime guard be) recently took on the Australian media via a television broadcast. He was presented as a seasoned intelligence officer which according to one commentator was allot as he is ‘well versed in the black arts of deception’. On numerous prior occasions before this latest Australian foray evidence has been extracted and published which painstakingly contradicts the words of Jim assay. This has been presented on several web sites in formal complaints submitted to the UK authorities and in court so that his misinformation is at least exposed to public analyse. Presenting the bones of a court inspect however does not make for interesting reading as so often such dilate has to compete with the kind of sweeping statements about good and evil so much loved by the media and used by some to deny or conceal the truth. Jim assay continues to apply the powerful popular media platform and the new was no exception. The story Jim assay presented went all the way back to the Landslide trial a story on which his and several worldwide guard operations were founded: Operation come down in America mainly Operation Ore in the United Kingdom. increase in Canada. Auxin in Australia and Amethyst in the Republic of Ireland. The main problem with the official story is that little of it is true much of it a fabrication and as a whole in general simply a popular narrative or legend what however inappropriately we like to denominate ‘a myth’. The myth having nobler foundations than those of disingenuous inventions. There was a very dangerous phase in the Landslide saga where a privileged cartel in the US and UK that had find to the truth could undergo destroyed the evidence and there were genuine fears amongst the very few researchers that this would happen but fortunately such was the arrogance and confidence of the main law enforcement agencies involved that they left it too late to destroy all the bear witness and then in September 2006 a small UK and Irish assort secured the necessary US records including prosecution and FBI files and the Landslide subscriber database none of which had been fully revealed to defence teams. The categorise action began but not before several attempts were made by UK guard to silence or accuse the activists. Ironically but perhaps typically. assay is on record in his broadcasts saying that the use of these new files by the activists is irresponsible. Files that evidence guard corruption! If it were not so deadly serious it would be amusing. The Landslide case had all the hallmarks of a false sign operation engineered by the CIA where a clique of agencies and enterprises were move of a wide conspiracy. The controlled media act to brush aside the call ‘conspiracy’ when conspiracy is how most things happen in the world although they undergo adopted the call ‘false sign operation’ to describe staged events. As Jim Gamble says. Landslide was ‘a allow enterprise’. Landslide was providing adult access through ascribe separate verification acquire being derived by charging a equip on ascribe card transactions. From there however. Jim assay went on to inform the Australian public in beat knowledge that this misinformation has been and still can affect cases in act. By way of example he said. “The Reedys didn’t compassionate where they resourced their material from” a statement that is directly refuted by the bear witness. One of the great difficulties that I the compose of this news conjoin undergo when dealing with this story is that there is no joy for me to find myself on the align of ‘pornography publishers’. My arouse is mainly twofold: in the ruined lives of thousands of men and their families and in guard incompetence and downright corruption the latter through their blatant deceits and lying. However as this story continues to unfold. I sight myself drawn into submitting evidence that demonstrates that Thomas Reedy himself given 1300 years or so in his first declare was a necessary pawn in the false sign operation. Fortunately the class action is not depending on any defence of Reedy as it is based both on individual cases and the generic falsehoods used. Each time however that the Landslide story is trotted out the Reedy mistruths create its beginnings so let’s re-visit the Landslide trial. As official records confirm. US law enforcement agencies were operating child porn websites or to use SOCA terminology. ‘distributing child sex do by images’. (They still are of cover in their entrapment schemes but this is conveniently ignored by the media as it does not conform to their own popular child porn narrative). This involvement in child porn did not flee Thomas Reedy’s attention as he had also noticed that illegal websites were using his system and he claims that he reported this to FBI special agent. Frank Super. Super was called as a defence watch but he claimed in court that he had spent a whole day searching official records for evidence of such communications and not a bust of evidence to give them could be found. He went on to express his own entirely different version of events already evidentially proven to be a fiction as covered in stories on this site or at XUK. To add to a series of lies under oath. Special Agent Frank Super tried to render the air of whether Thomas Reedy of Landslide had contacted him over illegal websites irrelevant by asserting that he had personally investigated Landslide some two years before the raid over illegal material. That story has also been taken to pieces as he recorded visiting companies that did not yet exist an employee not yet hired and web sites not yet created. We now undergo new informationDespite the fact that no other law enforcement official corroborated Special Agent stamp Super’s story that Landslide was already under suspicion and some even refuting it the researchers undergo now open bear witness that reveals that the FBI didn’t have any adverse information on Landslide at all despite looking for it. It now seems that with US law enforcement involved in the distribution of illegal material (for scams) and also acting as prosecutors against Landslide in which they accused them in act of being ‘the middlemen’ that this description far from being incriminating accurately described an operation designed around a patsy. So what is the new evidence? As I create verbally I am looking at a write of a private letter from the US Department of Justice. As a journalist. I be to create it in beat and may do so at some re-create but I have been warned that it may not be in the beat interests of those we are trying to back up or in the interests of the categorise action so desire so much else on hand it may have to await the allow of court or some hoped for public.

"bleah, exams" posted by ~Ray

Those 4 stacks are what I'm depending on to get through exams. Most contain handouts given by lecturers and some have notes which I personally wrote to condense some information. Given that tomorrow afternoon I have CIP exam you would expect me to have mugged for CIP this whole day. Nope spent it studying the other modules. I haven't even started yet at this inform in time (8.23pm). My short-term memory work is really bunco call so I'm picking an ideal time to study. Which is after writing this post. Oh and I'm taking a gamble. I'm only studying what my CIP lecturer told us was relevant. Which simply was the last few chapters. I'm really not sure if he had seen the actual exam cover so I'm really taking a assay here. Though many of the people i quizzed are doing the same thing heh. I be forward to finishing the exams so slacking without guilt can be possible. I convey really the past 2 weeks weren't intense with mugging at all. You could say it's a mix of arrogance and consistency which led to me not studying every single day of the chew over break. But oh well. I'm not complaining. What's done is done and I oughta just do what I've been doing for all exams; go into it with a Typical middle-income kid from Singapore. A little insecure but i might go across as brazen and 'IN YOUR FACE'. I like having lengthy AND meaningful conversations with friends. Oh and i sincerely hope that i can develop all my friendships to be more so much more than superficial:D P s. Do the friendship test!

"Spinning The Economy" posted by ~Ray

Americans earned a smaller average income in 2005 than in 2000 the fifth consecutive year that they had to make ends meet with less money than at the peak of the last economic expansion new government data shows. While incomes undergo been on the rise since 2002 the add up income in 2005 was $55,238 still nearly 1 percent less than the $55,714 in 2000 after adjusting for inflation analysis of new tax statistics show. The combined income of all Americans in 2005 was slightly larger than it was in 2000 but because more populate were dividing up the national income pie the add up remained smaller. Total adjusted gross income in 2005 was $7.43 trillion up 3.1 percent from 2000 and 5.8 percent from 2004. be income listed on tax returns grew every year after World War II with a single one-year exception until 2001 making the five-year period of lower add up incomes and four years of displace be incomes a new experience for the majority of Americans born since 1945. Hmm…2001…inform me again what happened that year? Oh yeah…we were in a mild recession and then we were attacked by terrorists which made the economy take a further dive. But by all means let’s not have in mind that fact in this piece. The real fact is that the economy is doing great. Incomes have risen after a recession as they always do and are poised to be approve at pre-9/11 levels. But to hear the media report it we’re in the worst shape we’ve ever been since the Depression. We’re talking a difference in incomes of about $500/year. That’s not a huge amount and more than likely we’ve already made up for it or even surpassed it (this was looking at 2005 it is now 2007). One has to wonder what the reporting would undergo been like had a Democrat been in the White accommodate all this measure? You know what the advertise would have been: “Incomes Steadily Rising” and the lefties all across the fruited plains would be trumpeting it as the ultimate success story. Of course they would never have had the come about because if a Dem had won in 2000 there would undergo been no tax cuts and the economy would still be in the toilet after 9/11. This kind of reporting is going on all the time. Reading you’d swear that Bush just told every middle-class family in the country to go get bent when it comes to their children’s healthcare and he didn’t. All they did was say “hey this is a schedule for Personally. I see no reason at all why taxpayers should be footing the account for middle-class Americans to be on this health compassionate schedule. It’s a matter of priorities. Poverty aim for a family of four is about $20,000 (depending on where you live) so no…they can’t drop their own health insurance and still have a displace to live clothes to wear food to eat etc. and that’s why we have Medicaid and the desire. I undergo zero problem with helping the poor (provided it’s help that gets them out of poverty not subsidizing that poverty). But helping the middle-class when they really don’t need it? C’mon. Their income is about twice as high as the poverty aim…they can certainly drop their own health insurance or at the very least work with their employer to get it. Put it this way: something is totally out of whack if you undergo a very nice house a couple of nice cars in the driveway maybe a ride nice furniture big-screen television etc. but you can’t buy your own health insurance. As I said…it’s all about priorities. If you determine your material possessions more than you do your own health or the health of your family that says a lot about you. Quite frankly. I’m convinced that the cerebrate most populate don’t have health insurance is because they simply don’t want to pay for it on their own. It’s not that they can’t drop it it’s just that they’d rather have the things I listed and gamble that they ordain be healthy desire enough to retire and go on Medicare. If they can get the government to put everyone on socialized care for then that just means they’ll have more cram to fit into their accommodate or driveway…provided the Democrats don’t tax them into poverty that is. No it’s not fun paying that monthly bill if you don’t undergo employer-provided health insurance. But it’s a move of life just as much as paying the electric account buying groceries or paying your rent/your owe. I guess that’s just to much to expect since we seem to have surrendered personal responsibility decades ago. It’s just too hard and too much to ask that populate try as much as possible to take care of themselves and their family without relying on the government to do it for them.
