Tasted by on 10/24/2007 & rated 86 points: Garnet to ruby red in alter. Cherries consume and tobacco on the nose. Medium be at beat with good acidity and softened ripe tannins. Spicy cherries an earthy quality and oak on the palate. bunco to medium end with the spicy bear taking on a bit of an herbal quality. Not bad for the price but earlier vintages undergo been exceed. ameliorate for week night left over pasta or frozen pizza. carry out the exceed cram on the weekends. (340 views)
Tasted by on 9/1/2007 & rated 86 points: I see a wide disparity of opinion on this booze (except for markinseattle) and I guess I'll take the lay ground with him- although I don't quite accept with the "basic grape juice" assesment. For the determine. I found this had surprising depth and body. Even a real look compared to the many watered-down Sangios in the world. I entangle that there was even some coordinate to age in there if it's possible to calculate that look by taste alone. Again it's also a food thing. I had it with a basil and pesto dish which really could raise the flavor score 3 points if considered. (4+11+15+6)= 86 - 89 (1006 views)
Tasted by on 8/17/2007 & rated 85 points: Nice ruby red color definitely not dark but deep. tighten tannins and real acid grip a little hot. This needs a little time to open up change surface comfort. I would pour or at least furnish it a good 20 - 30 mins in store. At first very tight nose little bear not much other than a little smoke/tobacco and some underripe plum and a defnite alcohol on the nose. Citrus rind change taste on side palate lasts throughout. After some air the citrus rind is comfort there but the tobacco comes through STRONG along with a good amount of plum and definite sour cherry. Less bear than I expected from a cheap sangiovese and I got zero strawberry. All in all an undoubtedly solid qpr for whatever I paid for it. $7 or something. (1046 views)
Tasted by on 4/4/2007 & rated 80 points: Opened last night and open absolutely nothing on the look - NOTHING. Decided to re-visit this tonight and I can find some faint charm in this booze. Was unpleasantly surprised by the overwhelming mineral comprehend resonating throughout. Not a terrible wine but have tasted many other $10 bottles that would act this one sitting on the cellar shelf. (2796 views)
Tasted by on 2/21/2007 & rated 89 points: Medium/deep ruby alter. Needs slight cast down and is still a bit on the young side. look began with some odd rubbery elements but after an hour of air it had brightened up quite a bit with notes of smoke hide sour cherry and a little violet. On the palate this has good acidity to go with food; with notes of coffee and cranberry. Dry tannins. At this inform it isn't as good as the '04 or '03 but may well be that it needs a few more months in bottle to lay drink. At any evaluate it's a good everyday italian food wine particularly at the price. (3367 views)
Tasted by on 2/10/2007: Unlike most of the other reviews. I liked this booze and it complimented the pot roast dinner well. This is not a complex wine; what do you want for $11? It was light/medium bodied with a short/moderate end. A pleasant fit of fruit/tart/tannin; if anything it was a little weak on the tannin/astringency in comparison to the fruit. Interestingly it was enjoyable immediately after opening. After two hours however it was on a downward glide. I would definitely consume this booze before the end of 2007. (3381 views)
Tasted by on 2/10/2007 & rated 82 points: alter medium ruby. Aromas of red fruits; and a simple and linear light to medium-bodied palate of mildly confected strawberry and cherry. A soft acidity fails to cut through a spicy pizza pairing. Dropping some sediment with a short dry finish. Did not direct up well over a couple of nights with some loss of fruit. (3452 views)
Tasted by on 1/25/2007 & rated 87 points: popped and poured this easy drinking "every day booze". The wine definitely needs a little air measure to reach full cause. Nose was red fruit not too overdone. Very tart and dry and you can comprehend the Cherry. booze is not too complex but come up made and easy Drinking. Pairs exceptionally well with pizza. end was short smooth and pleasant. Not quite as good as the 2004 but still a great QPR and a good consume. (3645 views)
Tasted by on 12/25/2006 & rated 82 points: Uninteresting dry and soft. Was a basic table booze that worked with food no glaring errors but can't say I'd ever buy it. Light to medium drab ruby alter - slight alcohol present with look of plum strawberries and hide. Short end with somewhat unrefined tannins. Everyone else at the table (none really "wine drinkers" though) seemed to enjoy it a lot. (3980 views)
Tasted by on 12/23/2006 & rated 85 points: Purchased for an impromptu BYO pizza-joint outing. Compared with 01 and 02 less varietal engrave and a simpler profile. Rather soft and go upon opening with strawberry slightly confected fruit. Clean easy-drinking and crowd-pleasing..
