How does that Kenny Rogers song go?
You gotta know when to hold 'em,know when to change surface 'em...
Today I decided I'm not going to run the Philly HM. I haven't kicked my five week-old cold. The week ended up being jam packed with "emergency" meetings for school a presentation for my class night cram each night. And I haven't run this week... I anticipate I'm just sick (literally) and tired. And I be to cut my losses now without adding the expenses of staying over in Philly with the family and dragging them down with me. I am proud that I actually made it through the 10 mile training run. I am actually ok with this decision. So what next? I will run a Thankgsiving 8K and let my son run their Mile "play" on Turkey Day and make a adjust family affair of it. And now Saturday I can go to Rutgers' last home game this year with my family! So thanks for the give in my training. I'll be back with some re-focused goals probably a spring HM. And I'm comfort running don't mind:-)
Phew! For a minute there. I was really worried ;-) Smart decision! There will ALWAYS be more races...
we will always have LB :Dyeah for the turkey day idea! family runs are nothing but fun :)
I am so sorry but I accept with Wes. Smart decision!
We will be here to cheer you when you choose the next go! exceed to call back and rest!
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!Good luck with your 8K this week!
you experience what? there will be a MILLION other halfs (halves?) that you can do. Only you know what's beat for you so I totally give your decision!you'll move back and forth that 8 k and i hope be DONE with this cold!
That's a long time to be under the weather. You need to rest. There's always another race. Be well.
