The ferry terminal was so so busy the lines at the immigration counters so darn long! Each large jet carrying 100plus passengers arrives approx every 15 mins so you can go do the math as to how many thousands of people flock to this gambling haven each day.
You'd be glad to know the Venetian Macao is buying its own ferries to serve a second ferry terminal being built with more lines for passport checks quite cool huh? Thankfully no more 45min waits in the future.
The place is actually much larger has lots of greenery and is seriously BOOMING into a self-styled Las Vegas of the East. The profileration of mega-casinos means there's plenty of spots to try your hand with Lady Luck.. and as you drive around you can see tons & tons more developments of huge resorts underway.
The famous exclusive Wynn (far right) from Las Vegas has already set up shop here. One of the original resort's claim to fame is being the first casino to include a car dealership --
There is a 15,000-seat sports arena the convention center has a 6,000-seat banquet hall and the luxury shopping mall has three indoor canals with singing gondoliers; whereas the Venetian in Las Vegas has just one.
When completed the complex will include a St. Regis a Shangri-la a Raffles a Conrad an Intercontinental and a Sheraton with their own casinos bars and restaurants. BLIMEY!!!!! o_O
I absolutely adore the huge bathroom with gold trimmings! I felt like a Venetian Princess
And the coolest thing was all the mirrors were arranged in such a way that you can quite easily view your back and other hard-to-see angles... guess they really had us ladies in mind!
When it comes to hotels personally I'd prefer to have a nice clean splendid bathroom and an okay bedroom rather than a pretty bedroom & gross bathroom. (of course the best of both worlds is most ideal) Because after all the bathroom's where you keep clean pretty & fresh and besides I'll probably be out of the hotel room most of the time anyway.
I loathe dirty stinky muddy wet ugly toilets with quite a vegenance. Especially if there's no toilet paper. (
why am i suddenly reminded of the toilets in my old Raffles Junior College campus at Mt. Sinai?)
For someone who brought dresses to wear one thing that irked me was that alot of the areas were like noisy fish markets!! When I first arrived I was greeted by hoards of ah peks and other loud characters dressed rather shabbily. And these ah peks keep giving you the leering eye. Kinda ruins the whole "Venetian" experience.. they really should enforce a dresscode. At least proper shoes!
I reckon the huge influx of these less-than-glamorous people is because Macau is currently attracting mostly nearby residents. I think the average gambler is still just a day-tripper from Hong Kong or nearby Chinese cities in the Pearl River delta. They do not rent hotel rooms and I've seen some even bring their own food.
Macau is a city with two faces: One sin city. Two the fortresses churches and food of former colonial masters Portugal speak to a uniquely Mediterranean style on the China coast.. a laidback and architectural atmosphere.
Will you marry me? Lame question I know hahaha.. but you are my dream girl.. so beautiful cute sweet sexy fun intelligent down to earth.. list goes on.. theres just something special about you.. make me wish I can know you better. but I know that is wishful thinking on my part... a girl like you will probably not go for a guy like me.. and problem with always experiencing near perfection (no one is perfect but I think you might be close) in the back of my head I find it hard to "settle" for other girls..... looks like your life is going great.. but if you ever need a listening ear or a new friend you are more than welcome to email me or add me in msn ok... think you can see my email because its required. Have a nice day and God bless you and your family
Hey interesting insight to Macau. Some people might dismiss your blog as a bimbo blog but I disagree.. the true bimbos can't write and like to talk about how they waste their money on shopping makeup guys & more shopping.... I can tell you have a lot more brains depth and creativity to you than you sometimes let on. Really you're in a class of your own! And it doesn't hurt too that you're drop dead gorgeous! Cheers.
