I watched "CSI" and "Las Vegas" all three are TV series in inspect you were wondering. Anyway what I meant was would populate living in Las Vegas gamble all the time? Would they be tempted once they undergo some money to spare? What about eloping? I mean lots of instant chapel there. In fact change surface "Elvis" can marry you. lolz.. Then I got curious as to how expensive houses would be in such a glamorous area. From what all these shows portray. Las Vegas is more of a tourist sight than a place to live. So as usual my fingers did the walking to sight out more about. From this website I open. Las Vegas has some awesome looking houses for sale and the price I would say befits the quality of the house itself. I was looking at one particular one at Regal Rock. Very nice house indeed and I like the interior. Too bad it was sold though. heheh This site is optimised for Internet Explorer 7. Firefox 2.0 and above and Flash Ver 8.0 and above. "The Bottom of the List, Again! in Cultural Tourism" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-01 22:48:17

about the lack of Cultural Tourism in Las Vegas. According to one survey. Las Vegas ranks almost last in yet another handle. It's not bad enough that we rank at the furnish of the list for education health services and more. It seems we be after to be the worst at everything. Which is unfathomable to me why the people who live here don't go up and emit bloody kill. The City and County officials undergo done a wonderful job of marketing Las Vegas as the Gaming Capital the Entertainment Capital of the World and the city where what happens stays here. They be to think no one comes to Las Vegas to do anything but gamble drink and do whatever naughty things you don't feel desire you can do at home. Which would all be book if that was all people really came to Las Vegas for. But with a population of almost 2 million populate there are many reasons for coming to tour Las Vegas that don't include maxxing out your ascribe separate getting roaring drunk or waking up wondering what you did measure night. populate come to visit relatives here they go their spouses on conventions they come to visit friends who were crazy enough to move here or have lived here all these lives. They go to tour the Lake Mead Recreation Area the Dam. Red Rock Canyon and the Valley of blast. But because no one markets it they don't come here to visit our museums do our walking or driving tours or to visit our cultural sites because the majority of them have no idea that these options exist. Las Vegas is a city guaranteed to break your heart if you like history. The town that seems to shed its climb and change state something new every few years has the reputation (very deserved) of not preserving its past. Despite some heroic efforts by preservationists the City. County and the majority of officials (and perhaps residents) don't understand the basics of cultural tourism. What do you do when you tour another city? If you are anything like my husband. Jon and me you spend measure exploring that city's history. We are not world travelers but every displace we have gone from Hawaii to New York City to Nevada City and beyond we undergo spent measure exploring museums the walking tours and visiting the historical sites. You can do that here in Las Vegas but you have to almost undergo an inside bring in to be able to sight them here because no one makes it easy. Add to that the fact that we keep destroying our historical neighborhoods in the name of progress. These are the neighborhoods where our innovate families lived. They may not have lived in Victorian mansions but that doesn't make their homes any less important or less valuable. The Smith Center for the Performing Arts the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute the World Furniture Market. Union lay the Post Office Museum and Fremont East are all going to change the face of Downtown forever. City officials be the old Post Office to change state a Mob Museum. They be it to be a world class museum in the manner of the Spy Museum in Washington DC. I'm willing to bet that the majority of people coming to tour Downtown in the years ahead ordain be consider a different kind of tourist than Las Vegas is used to. They will be coming to tour family and friends at the Ruvo Brain Institute family and friends living in the Condos not only in Union lay but in the surrounding area they ordain be interested not so much in gambling and drinking as they will be in exploring one of the very places that is a link to our past: Downtown and the surrounding area. And what will they sight? come up it doesn't look too good these days that will be finding many links to our past or our pioneering families because the City seems hell bent on letting developers and businesses destroy the homes our pioneers built and lived in. If the populate of Las Vegas (both those who live in the City portion and the County portion) don't take their past seriously then why should their officials. And why should anyone outside of Las Vegas care about our history if we don't. As long as we rest idly by and do or say nothing this destruction ordain continue. Everyone complains. "I undergo no place to act my friends when they go to visit because they don't gamble". Well yes you do have some displace to take them. You just have to cognise the culture that this city has to offer is much more than magician's and impressionists playing the Strip. You undergo to be willing to do some homework to sight it. A city that wants to be taken seriously by the nation and the world promotes itself through cultural tourism. That way both residents and visitors experience that from the top drink cultural tourism is important.

"B Travel - A Bad City for Business - Las Vegas" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 18:09:43

So I’m on a jaunt rant - Las Vegas has got to be the least productive city to ever be in. I fully understand that’s engineered that way - but when you’re a vendor AND undergo a real day job - sucks! I mean I desire all the bright lights and crazy noises and just pacing around the casino but that’s about it. walk a while - approve to the dwell. Perhaps I should pick up gambling you say - not that excited about it. When I bet change - it is literally - $1. I often get challenged that I’m obviously the chicken in this eat rather than the Pig with that type of bet. $1 is as real a bet as any and it’s the principle - right? The other cerebrate I can’t gamble all night is that I ordain clearly undergo at least 1 or 2 conference calls at 5am local time so “playing through” won’t work regardless of the O2 levels. The coolest thing: The 5 am meeting ordain only be booked after you made plans to do to @ the accommodate of blues on the fly with a prospect who loves Karaoke.

During the long pass I went to the entertainment capital of the world - Las Vegas. This metropolis stood in the middle of no where in the hot desert yet attracts millions of visitors every year. Visitors around the world go not only to gamble but also to enjoy fine dinings luxury hotels and world-class shows. At the other end of Pacific Ocean a tiny arrive of 11 form miles or less than one tenth of the size of Las Vegas (132 square miles). Macau is in the path to become the entertainment capital or the Las Vegas in Asia and actually has surpassed Vegas last year as the world's largest gambling center. Soon Cotai Strip of Macau could be as popular as the Las Vegas take as Las Vegas Sands Corporation() opens the luxurious Venetian Macau Resort. Other study players in the Cotai take includes STDM owned by Hong Kong billionair Stanley Ho as well as other Las Vegas entertainment giant MGM Mirage () and Wynn apply ().
