I happened to catch this couple in an intimate moment at the art museum. It reminded me of Gustav Klimt and his famous painting -"The touch". ABOUT THE ARTISTLinda Apple was born in 1946 in the Appalachian hills of Southern Ohio and awarded ascholarship to the College of Art & Design in Columbus. Ohio in 1964. She also attendedVentura College in Ventura. California and the Academia de Roma in Rome. Italy. Seeking new experiences in art led her to travel to Greece. France. Sweden. Mexico,Canada and southwest United States. She has had many solo exhibitions including theCollectors Gallery at Columbus Museum of Art and assort shows across the U. S. A.,Canadaand Mexico. Her work has sold internationally and also resides in numerous private collections; including Proctor & Gamble. She currently lives in Columbus. Ohio. As an artist. Apple's work has come full go by merging her life and art into the present. It has been said that her bring home the bacon captures the essence of daily life and has been compared by some to the works of Edward Hopper viewing the little moments that life has to offer with a bit of wit and simplicity. From the Artist :Life's big adventureMy care once told me that I began drawing on the day I could direct a pencil. I don't know when that was but I never really thought about the when how or the why of it. It was just a natural function of life; choose of like sneezing.
