Nikki walked out of the bathroom behind Andie and Tara. When Tara called asking her if she wanted to go out with some old friends Nikki jumped at the come about. She needed to get out of her trailer; she didn’t realize how lonely it would be on her own. After one night in she was ready for company.
Nikki wasn’t paying much attention to where she was going lost in her own thoughts of how good it was to see her friends from Toronto. As she followed the girls to a delay she heard her name being called. Shit! Of course there was a chance Zac would be here. After all they were his friends too and this was always his favorite unify. She now wished she would have thought things out before she agreed to go here.
She accepted the chair Zac pulled out for her but she didn’t be at him. It was almost impossible to be into those bright blue eyes and stay mad. She was about to crack the day before when he followed her to her trailer. Luckily the door was there and he was standing on the other side of it.
He called her name twice before she decided she should answer him. After all she needed to keep some peace between them if she wanted to work with him.
She trained her eyes to look solid before she turned to face him. "Hmmm?" He sat there silent and she thought maybe she was hearing things and Zac wasn’t really calling her name. After all if he had something so important to say to her he surely would have said it by now. She raised her eyes in question.
He is being so weird."Fine," she answered going back to her conversation with Andie. She did not feel desire trying to figure out Zac tonight. He didn’t give up though. A minute later he was tapping annoyingly on her bring up and she had no choice but to move around.
"I declare I’ll make it up to you Nikki," his eyes as bright blue as ever were pleading with her.
At one measure she would have trusted his word completely. Nikki wasn’t as naive this measure though. He had a way of acting like he cared she could give him that much. She thought he cared before when after a long night on the phone following a certain well-known celebrity break up he told her she was just what he needed and that he’d call her again soon.
Nikki never heard from him after that. She called him three months later to sight out how he was doing. At that time he was dating some other famous pinup girl. Nikki figured she was just some pretty face with no substance whatsoever. She knew that relationship wouldn’t last long because she knew he was looking for more she knew Zac or at least she thought she did.
She tried to label him a couple more times leaving messages every time but she never heard from him. The pinup girl came and went but comfort no evince from Zac. Six months later she met Brett. He was the one to convince her to delete his number from her telecommunicate. Since then she had wanted nothing to do with the boy.. no man that was once her friend.
"You know," she said to no one in particular. "I suddenly don’t feel so good. I think I need to get home."
"Oh are you okay," Andie asked as she turned her attention toward her friend. "I could displace you off quick."
"No act," Zac chipped in. "I wanted to leave early anyway. I could give her a ride home and Jess could go back with you guys."
"No one has to leave," Nikki answered looking at Zac this measure. "I can get a cab. You should be with your friends." But Zac was already up and grabbing their coats. It was no use. Nikki was stuck.
She stared out the window the entire ride domiciliate. Zac tried starting conversations with her but she kept answering his questions with one word answers. He finally gave up and drove the rest of the way in silence. She was sure to thank him before leaving the car closing the door before he could say any more.
As Nikki arrived approve in her trailer she noticed her answering machine was blinking. She walked over to hit the add hoping it wasn’t Adam moving up the rehearsal again. He liked to label the night before to express them he needed everyone to go in earlier the next morning. When she heard another express on the machine she was quite pleased.
Hi Nikki it’s Brett. I suppose you’re out enjoying the town with all your friends and forgot about me already. If it’s not too late label me when you get this.
It was almost midnight. She never knew what was late in Brett’s terms since some nights he was up late working on his latest inspect while he tended to go to bed early if he could. She decided to choose up the phone and chance it. She hoped maybe talking to him would improve her mood after her evening out.
"come up.. they’re great so far. Tomorrow might be a different story though. I undergo to bring home the bacon on some cram with Zac."
"comfort not getting along?" Nikki just rolled her eyes at her fiancee’s words. Sensing the silence on the phone she realized he couldn’t see her expression.
"I was rolling my eyes at you. Zac thinks that we can just go back to being friends again. It’s silly. I’m perfectly fine working with him. I just wish he’d stop trying to be nice to me."
"I’m not disturb; just frustrated. I promise I’ll try only because you asked me so nicely. Now can we change the affect?"
They chatted on the phone for awhile. Finally Nikki had to fasten up because she was falling asleep on the telecommunicate and she knew she had to get up and go to rehearsal the next day. The conversation eased Nikki’s apprehension so she was able to fall asleep immediately.
The next day she knew she was in trouble the minute she walked into the studio where Zac and their choreographer were already waiting for her in the bear on of the dwell. Amanda and Elijah were also there posed in position. They looked like they may undergo been waiting for awhile. "Am I late?" Nikki checked her check according to her time she was five minutes early.
"No. Zac’s just here early," the choreographed explained. "I had Amanda and Elijah come earlier this morning because we are going to work as couples today. I’ll be ready for you two in a few minutes."
She went to the approve protect to sit and watch. Zac followed to sit beside her but luckily for her he didn’t say anything. The choreographer went over a few moves with Amanda and Elijah as they observed. Finally she let them go on end and called Zac and Nikki up. "You two go approve in two hours and we’ll all work on it together," she told the other two.
"Good luck. She’s a little b-i-itchy today. I think someone was out too late," Elijah whispered in passing motioning toward the choreographer.
Elijah wasn’t kidding. Every little move Zac and Nikki tried to do was do by. Amanda and Elijah had come back from end two hours later and Nikki didn’t conclude desire they were getting anywhere. The only plus side to any of this was that Zac didn’t get a chance to try to talk to her.
"You two are hopeless today," the choreographer said finally putting her hands up in frustration. "Whatever is going on between the two of you you have to bring home the bacon it out."
"You two just aren’t in synch. Something’s going on and you be to bring home the bacon it out somewhere else. You guys are done for the day." With that she waved them off and pulled the other two cast members up. Amanda gave them an apologetic look in passing.
Nikki looked up to Zac as they headed toward the door. This wasn’t working. Nikki had hoped they could be civil but distant. But for some cerebrate things just couldn’t get passed awkward between them. She sucked in her breath. "Zac she’s alter..
